Who We Are

Castle Clinic is a specialist Oral Surgery and Advanced Dental Implantology Clinic operated by Mr. McCourt, Specialist Oral Surgeon. The clinic is situated in Dalkey and is open Monday to Friday 9/6. Mr. McCourt also operates from the Blackrock Clinic providing Oral Surgery Services under General Anaesthesia. He has been providing Oral Surgery Services in Dublin for General Dental/Medical Practitioners for over twenty years.

Located in the heart of Dalkey, this Clinic provides Specialist Oral Surgery Services e.g wisdom teeth with IV sedation and Advanced Dental Implantology services including zygomatic implants, iliac crest bone grafting, sinus lift surgery and all forms of onlay grafting.

Mr. Darren McCourt

Specialist Oral Surgeon

Mr. Darren McCourt is an experienced Specialist Oral Surgeon registered in the U.K (70517) and Ireland (77/99)
Darren completed his dentistry at Glasgow University and then held training posts at Glasgow Dental Hospital (Department of Oral Surgery and Department of Restorative Dentistry) and Newcastle General Hospital (Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery) where he was a hospital resident for two years.

Emily has extensive experience as a Dental nurse working in hospital settings and private dental clinics. Emily started out in general dentistry and moved to specialise in Oral Surgery over ten years ago when she joined the team here at Castle Clinic.

Linda Keogh

Registered Dental Nurse

Linda joined us here in the Castle Clinic in 2017 after eight years of working in General Dentistry, choosing to specialise in Oral surgery. She completed her Diploma in dental nursing with Trinity College Dublin in 2010. She went on to gain a certificate in Dental Radiography in 2011 with the Dublin Dental Hospital and holds a certificate in Oral Health Promotion with NUI Galway. Linda has trained in CPR with the pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council and is currently undertaking a SMART qualification in Inhalation and IV Sedation.

Julie is the newest member of our team.  She has spent over a decade in the telecoms industry and joins our team with a strong background in admin and customer care. She grew up in Dalkey and is delighted to be working in a local practice. She is married and a mum of two and has a kind a caring personality. She looks forward to welcoming you at the clinic.

Platelet Rich Growth factors from  BTI.  CBCT scanning is from Kavo and we use 3-Shape digital scanning the market leader in terms of accuracy.

Communication is excellent, all the staff are friendly, courteous and efficient Extractions, Dental Implants I was referred to Dr McCourt for complex dental extraction and implant. Despite this, the extraction was painless! Due to the complexity of my situation, the implant treatment was prolonged as I needed a graft. Apparently, this is not usual. Normally only takes a couple of months. However, Dr McCourt brought me in several times for review and to ensure all was going well. I was very confident in him. A year later, I attended for the implant (last June) and was quite nervous and to be honest I didn't feel a thing. Dr McCourt is the consummate professional. He ensured I was fully informed at all stages. There is an air of calmness about the practice, which is very person/client-centred. Communication is excellent, all the staff are friendly, courteous and efficient. I cannot recommend Dr McCourt's practice highly enough. Excellent!
